Scotland 1286.

King Alexander III has just passed away, making his new wife a widow. Having no male heirs, the only surviving representative of the Royal House of Scotland is Elspeth Margaret "the Maid of Norway" Banach. The struggle for control of Scotland follows. The emergence of Clans divided the people laying claim to lands given them by the English with Title slowly overlaying the Gaelic kinship system.

• The room is "new to roleplaying" friendly. Please feel free to ask questions.
• Individual and group storylines are encouraged.
• Given the nature of the room, death can happen. Players are encouraged to utilize dice to decide encounters! Force posting is not allowed.
• There are no gods, magic, or fairytale creatures here. Religious practices in all its forms welcome, taking the period into consideration.
• Character sheets are not required but we'd appreciate you registering to the Board.
• Please respect the use of PM's.
• AV size limit is 700 X 500.
• Public Scening is allowed (especially since breeding was a tool of war) and so is rape. Please do not abuse this rule.

Primary RP Setting: The Village of Crathie where the River Dee is crossed. The village lies either side of the River Dee about midway between Ballater and Braemar and approximately 50 miles west of Aberdeen. Salmon thrives in the River Dee. The majestic Mountain Lochnagar looms beyond the village. The Royal family resides in the Balmoral Estate on the edge of the Village and attends the village Church of Scotland Kirk.
